MyJobSearchTool Practice Room

Practice the interview out loud, before it counts.

The Practice Room is live mock interview practice with an AI interviewer. Speak your answers, get follow-up questions in real time, and walk away with specific feedback on what to say differently next time.

How it works

Three steps, about ten minutes

1. Pick your scenario

Choose an interview, negotiation, networking chat, follow-up, or write your own — and add the role or job description for context.

2. Talk it through live

A short countdown, then a real back-and-forth conversation by voice. Turn on your camera if you want to review your delivery too.

3. Get your feedback

A written recap of what landed, what to tighten, and specific rewrites for weak answers. Email it to yourself or download it.

What you can practice

Not just interviews

Every high-stakes conversation in a job search gets easier with reps. Pick the one you're dreading most.

Job interview

Behavioral and role-specific questions from a single interviewer — or a panel of up to three.

Salary negotiation

Rehearse the number conversation before you have to say it to a real recruiter.

Networking conversation

Practice introductions, coffee chats, and asking for a referral without it feeling awkward.

Follow-up call

Work through check-ins, status calls, and the tricky 'where do things stand?' moment.

Anything else

Describe your own scenario and the AI interviewer plays the part you need it to.

Feedback you can act on

Know exactly what to fix

After each session you get a recap: the strongest moments, the answers that wandered, and suggested rewrites in your own words. Turn the camera on and you also get notes on pacing, energy, and eye contact. Email the recap to yourself or a mentor, or download it to keep working on it.

Panel mode

Face up to three AI interviewers who trade off questions — the closest thing to the real thing without booking anyone's calendar.

Grounded in your search

Attach your resume or a job description and the questions follow your actual experience and the role you're targeting.
