Goal
Create a list of 5 validated search strings that yield high-quality, relevant job openings.
Setup
Open Indeed in your browser and pull up your current master resume.
Exercise Instructions
1) Type your current target job title into Indeed. 2) Scroll through the first two pages and write down 5-7 variations of that title found in the listings. 3) Run a new search for each of those variations. 4) Note which titles produce the highest quality matches versus those that are too broad or unrelated.
Coach Tip
Look for patterns in the 'Suggested Searches' at the bottom of the page to find industry-specific synonyms.
