Goal
Identify at least two high-quality, insider questions to ask the hiring manager that demonstrate deep research and cultural awareness.
Setup
Open a blank document and list three target companies along with their specific department names.
Exercise Instructions
1) Search Reddit and Discord for the company name and department to find recent 'Ask Me Anything' sessions or employee discussions. 2) Filter Glassdoor reviews from the last six months and extract three recurring pros and three recurring cons. 3) Compare these findings against the official job description to identify gaps or areas where you need to ask clarifying questions during the interview. 4) Summarize your findings into a single 'Reality Check' paragraph for each company.
Coach Tip
Look for specific keywords like 'work-life balance,' 'oncall rotation,' or 'promotion cycle' to see how the community actually describes these perks.
