STAR Bullet Rewrite

Convert duty-based bullets into impact bullets that prove outcomes and survive ATS scans.

Open your current resume and highlight the five bullet points that sound most like a list of tasks rather than accomplishments. Keep a blank document or notebook nearby to draft your new results-oriented versions.

For each bullet, write 2 sentences answering: What was the situation/task? What did I do? What was the result (with a number if possible)? Then compress to one bullet starting with a strong verb and ending with the metric. Example before: "Responsible for marketing campaigns." After: "Launched 3-channel campaign that lifted qualified leads 38% in Q2, hitting target 6 weeks early." Replace the originals.

Every bullet should answer "so what?" The metric is the answer.
