Goal
Get past applicant tracking systems by mirroring the language of the job description without keyword-stuffing.
Setup
Pull up your current resume and a target job description in side-by-side windows. Highlight the top five recurring technical skills and action verbs listed in the job requirements.
Exercise Instructions
List the 10 nouns/phrases that appear most often in the JD (roles, tools, methodologies, outcomes). For each, mark Present (P), Implied (I), or Missing (M) on your resume. For every I or M that is genuinely true of you, weave it into an existing bullet using the JD's exact wording. Re-score. Stop when 8 of 10 are Present.
Coach Tip
Mirror their words, don't invent expertise. Honesty + alignment beats keyword stuffing every time.
